Ranbir's New Look in Bombay Velvet Fails to Wow

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor's new look in Bombay Velvet has hardly taken our breath away. In the first poster, the actor appears rather brawny courtesy his intense training for cage-fighting sequences for the film. The makers have attempted to be different in the second poster, but just because you put a bad hairstyle and a scar on someone doesn't mean it's edgy.

Actress Anushka Sharma, who plays female lead in Bombay Velvet, says that she was petrified to play the role of jazz singer Rosie Noronha in the film as the character was very different from who she is in real life. "I am very confrontational in real life but my character in the film is not that expressive," said Anushka.

In her review of Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet, film critic Anupama Chopra said, "Ranbir Kapoor is superb as the volatile, desperate and dangerous Johnny Balraj; Anushka Sharma is compellingly tragic, but the surprise here is Karan Johar as the scheming, lusting businessman Kaizad Khambatta.
